Servings: 8

Ingredients

  • 1 tube refrigerated Pillsbury pizza crust dough
  • 1–2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons garlic butter
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 1½–2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 20–25 slices pepperoni
  • 1 small tomato, thinly sliced or chopped
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano

Method

  1. Preheat the oven according to the temperature directions on the Pillsbury pizza dough package.
  2. Lightly coat a pizza pan or baking sheet with olive oil.
  3. Unroll the refrigerated pizza dough and gently shape it into your desired pizza shape.
  4. Bake the plain crust for about 8 minutes, until it begins to turn lightly golden.
  5. Remove the crust and brush the edges with garlic butter.
  6. Return the crust to the oven for about 1 minute to let the garlic butter soak into the crust.
  7. Spread pizza sauce over the center, leaving the edges uncovered.
  8. Top with shredded mozzarella, pepperoni, and tomatoes.
  9. Sprinkle oregano over the pizza.
  10. Bake for about 7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden.
  11. Let the pizza rest for 2–3 minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

  • Follow the oven temperature listed on your specific refrigerated dough package.
  • Pre-baking the crust helps prevent a soft or soggy center.
  • Don't add too much sauce if you prefer a crispier pizza.
  • Brush plenty of garlic butter around the edges for extra flavor.
  • Customize the pizza with your favorite toppings.
  • Let the pizza rest briefly before slicing.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
  • Reheat leftovers in an oven, skillet, or air fryer for the crispiest crust.
