Fairlife Ice Cream Recipe

Easy chocolate Fairlife ice cream made in the Ninja Creami with just one main ingredient, plus optional additions for a smoother, creamier texture.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Freeze time 8 hours
Total Time 8 hours 5 minutes
Servings: 1 Pint

Ingredients

Basic
  • 2 cups Fairlife chocolate milk
Optional Creamier Version:
  • ¼ teaspoon xanthan gum
  • Or
  • ⅓–½ cup cottage cheese
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder, if using cottage cheese
  • 2–3 tablespoons milk, as needed after the first spin

Method

  1. Pour 2 cups of Fairlife chocolate milk into a Ninja Creami pint container.
  2. For the xanthan gum version, add ¼ teaspoon xanthan gum and blend thoroughly. For the cottage cheese version, blend the cottage cheese, chocolate milk, and cocoa powder until smooth.
  3. Place the lid on the pint and freeze on a level surface until solid, ideally 8–24 hours.
  4. Let the frozen pint sit at room temperature for up to 15 minutes before processing if desired.
  5. Place the pint into the Ninja Creami and select the Light Ice Cream setting.
  6. After the first spin, check the texture. It may look snowy or powdery.
  7. Add 2–3 tablespoons of milk if needed. Gently loosen icy areas around the edges before processing again.
  8. Run the Light Ice Cream setting a second time until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
  9. Serve immediately or return the pint to the freezer for later

Notes

  • The basic version uses only chocolate Fairlife milk.
  • Freezing time can vary depending on your freezer.
  • Letting the pint soften slightly before spinning can help reduce iciness.
  • A second spin is important for achieving a smoother texture.
  • Xanthan gum can help create smaller ice crystals and a creamier consistency.
  • Cottage cheese adds creaminess and extra protein.
  • Add cocoa powder to the cottage cheese version for a stronger chocolate flavor.
  • Refrozen leftovers may need another Light Ice Cream spin before serving.
